Rachel and Joe’s Shepherd’s Hollow wedding pictures couldn’t have been any better! The energy, the laughter, the fun and the surprises were abundant! We first met Rachel and Joe two year prior and I knew we were in for a treat with this couple. Rachel is an incredible planner and there was not one forgotten detail with their wedding. I loved her attention to detail and her warmth and ability to create an engaging and fun atmosphere for their friends and family. March brings a special challenge in Michigan when it comes to planning a wedding, but only because we don’t know what the weather will bring. Will it rain or will we have sun? Fortunately for Rachel and Joe, there was no rain and Shepherd’s Hollow made the most incredible wedding day backdrop for this couple.
One of the things we loved the most about Rachel and Joe is their sense of humor. They just “get” each other in a way that only couples in love do. Joe has over one million different lively facial expressions and I believe we were able to capture at least half of them. He is a wrestler, yes, you read that right he’s a wrestler – as in dresses up just like the good old Hulk Hogan days! His best man, who is also his wrestling partner wanted to play an important part in this wedding day, so Rachel planned the most perfect way to bring laughter and good fun to life when he had him dress up as a bride for the first look. You can see some of the photos below, but it was a special moment that we will never forget! Joe was a good sport and after a few laughs, he was ready for the real first look with his bride Rachel.
