Birmingham Community House Wedding

Emily + Jay’s elegant Birmingham Community House Wedding Day

Emily and Jay’s Birmingham Community House wedding day was a combination of love, elegance, and joy merged into a fun and lively celebration! We want to share some of our favorite moments along with some unique details of their wedding day, set against the backdrop of the historic Shrine of the Little Flower Cathedral in Royal Oak and the gorgeous Birmingham Community House where their reception was held.

Setting the Stage at Birmingham Community House

Emily and Jay’s shared love for elegance and timeless beauty set the tone for their Birmingham Community House wedding. With Emily donning a gown adorned with classic floral details and a cathedral length veil, and her bridesmaids dressed in stunning rose-colored dresses, the ambiance exuded grace and sophistication, perfectly complementing the venue’s grandeur.

A Sacred Union at the Shrine of the Little Flower Cathedral

Emily and Jay exchanged their vows at the historic Shrine of the Little Flower Cathedral, just a short distance away from the Birmingham Community House. This sacred cathedral, with its rich character and magnificent stone work and stained glass windows, was the perfect backdrop for their wedding. The anticipation of celebrating at the nearby Birmingham Community House added an extra layer of excitement.

A Birmingham Surprise!

Emily had a surprise in store for Jay. Renting the movie marquee at the old Birmingham 8 theater, she proudly displayed their wedding date, accompanied by the words, “Happily Ever After, Starring Emily & Jay.” This whimsical touch added an element of delight, setting the tone for the party awaiting them at the Birmingham Community House. We were able to snap a few shots of the marquee which you can see below.

A Captivating Reception at Birmingham Community House

Following the ceremony, the guests made their way to the Birmingham Community House and waited for Emily and Jay while we captured a few wedding day portraits across the street at Shain Park. Nestled in the heart of Birmingham, this venue offered the perfect blend of elegance and charm – along with a nice park just a stone’s throw away to use for wedding portraits!

As the night unfolded at the Birmingham Community House, wedding guests were treated to an exceptional culinary experience, indulging in the venue’s delectable house specialties. Each table boasted elegant floral centerpieces, adorned with delicate greenery, adding a touch of natural beauty to the celebration within the Birmingham Community House’s ballroom. The dance floor was packed with Jay and Emily’s family and friends – and this was one party to remember!

Emily and Jay’s wedding day was an embodiment of elegance, joy, and the true essence of their love. From the historic cathedral ceremony at the Shrine of the Little Flower to the vibrant reception at the Birmingham Community House, every detail reflected their unique style and shared journey. It was a day filled with laughter, cherished moments, and an atmosphere that showcased their fun as a couple! The best part of their day, photographically speaking of course, were the final photos Courtney and Daighna took during the blue hour outside the Birmingham Community House. Congratulations to Emily and Jay as you embark on your journey as husband and wife! Thank you for trusting us to tell your story! We are the lucky ones!
