Erin and Rob’s Downsized Pandemic Wedding Portrait Session
We had a great time working with Erin and Rob for a special wedding portrait session at the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club. We are all aware of how the pandemic has affected almost everyone who was planning a wedding in 2020. This was no different from our couples, and Rob and Erin were most definitely affected. Both Erin and Rob work in healthcare, and in addition to that Rob is a Naval Officer (let’s thank Rob for his service to our country). Erin and Rob have had to change their wedding date multiple times, and we’ve been there with them every step of the way. Because of the pandemic they are finally getting married in 2021 in front of their family and friends, but they didn’t want to miss out on an opportunity to dress up in their wedding attire and have a quick session with us when they were in town. We had such a fun time and we can’t wait to celebrate with them soon when they can have their friends and family with them. We captured Erin and Rob as they posed on the docks behind the club with Lake St. Clair to their back. The photo shoot took place on a beautiful, sunny day that allowed for an incredible backdrop of blue water and vivid green trees against a clear sky, which as we know in Michigan can be rare. The yacht club is nestled between Detroit’s prestigious Grosse Pointe neighborhoods – hence its name – but it also has one of the most breathtaking views in all of southeast Michigan! We love this venue and we love this couple!
