Lovely Wedding Day Pictures at St. Mary’s Orchard Lake
This Orchard Lake St. Mary’s Wedding still leaves a smile on our faces. This wedding was one of the last weddings we photographed in 2019 (pre-pandemic) before the world changed in 2020. Planning a wedding is no easy undertaking and even more difficult is deciding where to host your event because weddings can take on a life of their own. Interestingly enough Kelsey and Michael were ahead of the 2020 intimate wedding curve and decided to take control of their own wedding day planning by simply planning to host it at their home and exchange vows in their own back yard.
This wedding was not your average back yard wedding and since they lives so close to Orchard Lake St. Mary, it was a no brainer to go there for their wedding day photographs. The love and careful thought that went into every detail made this day so very personal and special which is even more reason for us to love this couple.
Why We Love This Couple
Kelsey and Michael decided to have a first look with each other inside their wedding tent and right after we headed over to nearby Orchard Lake St. Mary’s for their wedding day portraits. Since it was only the two of them there wasn’t a problem obtaining permission to do so. We love Orchard Lake St. Mary’s for wedding day pictures and it only elevated their experience that much more. The campus is absolutely beautiful, quiet and lovely. It has everything you need to create picture perfect art. There is architecture, water, trees, pathways, etc which is why choosing it was such a good fit.
Lastly, Kelsey and Michael didn’t skimp out on any of the wedding-day must-haves. Kelsey had her florist transform a backyard pergola into a wedding arch with greenery and flowers hanging above them as they said their I-do’s. They also included a wedding tent, draped in white with an inspiring reception set up and custom chairs to really make a statement. They really created a meaningful experience that left quite an impression on their friends and family.
